Los Angeles County is planning improvements to the public boat launch ramp at 13477 Fiji Way in Marina del Rey. The county estimated work beginning in fall 2026 and lasting into summer 2027, although specific construction dates and access arrangements may change.
The work would replace aging docks and add an accessible queuing dock near the launch ramps. Planned landside work includes parking-lot restriping and resurfacing improvements, accessible parking, better circulation and stormwater-management features designed to protect water quality. The county says the docks will remain within the existing facility footprint.
Boaters should consult the Department of Beaches and Harbors for the latest construction phasing, launch availability and any temporary restrictions. Do not assume an estimated start date means every ramp is closed. The county project page contains maps and project descriptions.
